I am writing this to you as I believe it is a big question mark upon the decision to wear a clingy outfit in the office. Many of us will consider this inappropriate but what if such a choice can actually become a let’s call it fit one for the business environment?
How can you parade your favorite dress and still be decent?
Here are some ground rules, of course, to my mind, that one should follow in order not to be ridiculous and disrespectful.
First of all, when wearing a close-fitting dress in the office, please make sure that it is not short and that its length is at least right above the knee and not higher.
Take into account the fabric, and make sure that you do not go transparent, it is already clingy, the shape of your body is out there.
When it comes to the colour, it is preferable to avoid being close to the knuckle and stick with appropriate choices, for example the classic black or white, cream, dark blue, dark green, grey etc. my point is, please rule out red, light yellow, light green, phosphorescent shades, all that is ostentatious.
I would like to emphasize once again the fact that a close-fitting dress in the office is already a daring choice; therefore, one must make sure that the other elements of the outfit are wisely chosen.
You can wear it with heels, no doubt about it, it will definitely provide you with a beautiful silhouette and always more confidence. Add a spencer or a jacket and you can wear this anytime from Monday until Thursday.
Put on some sneakers (of course if the fabric and tailoring of the dress matches this) or a pair of oxford shoes and get a chic and decent Friday look.
Least but not last, make sure that you keep to your day makeup, clean manicure, preferably minimal jewelry and/or a nice watch and always appropriate hairstyle.
