I am writing this to you, as I would like to bring to your attention the office summer dress.
This one piece of clothing gives one the feminine look and “saves” us during the hot, summer days, providing comfort, yet an elegant choice for the hours spent in the office.
One must always take into account a proper length when it comes to the hemline, as it is well known that showing too much skin, could and will lead into ridicule and might be translated into lack of respect.
How do we choose what sort of dress to wear in the office?
It is very simple, as the word itself says it. Choose a simple piece, choose a proper fabric and choose a decent colour.
As I was writing to you in my previous messages, it is safe to avoid strong tones, not that they are not beautiful, but you would not want to attend a meeting and draw the attention by wearing light yellow. I am more than sure that what you are aiming for is to emphasize on your ideas, descriptions and work results. But I am also sure that you would like to avoid a dull look.
So, how can one make sure that while focusing on your presentation / project or whatever other sort of task you are involved in performing, you also feel confident that you made the right choice in the morning while putting on your clothes and pulled out a business, chic outfit?
You can always count on proper accessorizing. A clean, day –time make-up and nicely combed hair will also do the trick.
I have attached some pictures so that you can get a clearer image of what I had in mind, combining all the above mentioned.
I confess that strong tones are some of my favorites, and even if I strongly advise to avoid wearing them from Monday to Thursday during 09:00-17:00, I chose a pair of fuchsia sandals, but made sure that it was my only, let’s call it courageous touch of colour.
In order to keep it within the rules, I chose a right above the knee summer dress, in a simple beige shade, covering the upper part of my arms, and my Egyptian blue bag, for a cool look.
My other accessories are the daily ones, a simple, silver watch and minimal earrings. No one wants to abuse these, as it is not about #opulence. At least not at work :).
