How often do you wear jeans at work? I would like to discuss a bit this piece of clothing in this article, as both men and women use them in the office quite often and most times it turns out to be a fit, stylish choice.
Oh, we all know how it started in the Old West and how this particular piece of clothing emerged within the American Culture, what I would like to emphasize on is the extent that the jeans wear gained and how popular they became since the 19th century on wards.
Thank you, Levi Strauss and Jacob W. Davis for patenting this kind of trousers, that became such a useful, comfortable yet stylish fashion item, so fit for so many different occasions!
When it comes to office wear, I am a happy employee, who is allowed to use them no matter the day of the week, as fortunately, the company where I work allows this. Nevertheless, this sort of denim trousers is most often allowed on casual Friday.
Again, here I come with my so called compliance obsession :), therefore I would like to stress out the boundaries obedience, which translates into proper accesorising and fit choices. To be more explicit, to my mind, one should never wear overly-ripped jeans at work. Even if one has the luck to be employed in a very permissive company, it is out of the question to wear shorts. It might seem extreme of me to mention this, but, so far, I have witnessed it, of course, with flats or sneakers, but even if not indecent, it is not proper for a working environment.
I have attached few images with my choice of the day, which is high waisted boyfriendjeans - the classic bluejeans accessorized with a classic white shirt, a bit over-sized and a pair of stilettos, to add the touch of "chicness". As I always carry a lot of stuff with me, I am wearing a big black , simple bag.
It is a simple and comfortable outfit choice, within the lines of decency. The best part of it is that after work, I can go directly out for some fun in town, so I am giving my thanks once more for this trousers' versatility!
