Had you been following the articles written so far, you know by now that I am a declared heels fan.
I could sleep wearing heels, high, mid, low…I just love them and truly believe that a woman can always wear them, no matter the occasion (do not get me wrong, I am not thinking when running a marathon or when riding the bicycle :) ).
Yet, I sometimes, rarely though, feel the need for flats. And when that happens – mostly on Fridays, I feel the need to leave my heels at home, so I sort of lack confidence in the office. Well, my dear Reader, this is wrong on so many levels. Even if heels can totally turn around any outfit on a woman and make her feel more powerful, flat shoes should not make any difference.
They can be worn in so many pretty, elegant or casual combinations, so if you feel like walking a bit closer to the ground, get off the heels and take out your chic flats.
So, the answer to the question above is pretty clear, no, flat shoes will never reduce your “chicness” as long as you combine them in style.
I have attached few photos of my friend, Octavia, who is wearing a pair of gorgeous black Oxford shoes, in a chic, casual combination. Hope you like her outfit choice, the pretty, short jumper with a classic shirt underneath, and the very nice pair of high-waisted trousers in a cool, marsala tone.
