As I have recently changed my job, I have been through such a busy period, nonetheless, I do not seek to make excuses, I am here, with fresh ideas and little “office stories” to tell.
Due to the work volume, I was on the edge of putting less attention to my outfits, and then, I had the wake-up call, as cliché as it sounds “it is better to arrive late then to arrive ugly”!
In order not to miss on my tasks and still have the confidence of my office looks, I turned to the most comfortable fabric out there, versatile and stylish – denim.
Yes, denim, I love you!
As I was previously thanking Levi Strauss and Jacob W. Davis, here I am again, taking my bow in front of these gentlemen and rejoicing on the fact that no matter the day of the week or the type of the company, denim pieces can become part of any employee’s outfit, especially when it comes to trousers.
I often wear jeans in the office, whether it is casual Friday or a business day. They are comfortable and stylish at the same time.
Yes, it is good to reiterate, but I would not want to repeat myself, my dear Reader :). I invite you to find more information about the fabric itself and its origins in my “Jeans and a classic shirt” article - please see there the images I have shared with a stylish boyfriend jeans choice and find below two different other choices, one for a business day and the other one for casual Friday:
I will start with my favorite splayed jeans pair. I absolutely love it, as I can pull it off with a shirt and a jacket and create a business look.
For this Monday, I have chosen this greenish pair, combined with a classic shirt (Tommy Hilfiger), a matching jacket (Atmosphere) and ankle cut black suede bootees (Bershka). I did not have to iron a skirt or a pair of business trousers and, I was able to attend my meetings on time, and still save some precious coffee time in the morning.
Of course, I would have gone for a pair of skinny jeans instead of the splayed ones, wearing exactly the same as above, or maybe replace the thick heeled bootees with a pair of stilettos or a pair of winkle pikers.
Now, moving to a casual Friday denim look, please see below my choice, consisting or a pair of high waisted knee ripped jeans (Bershka), a simple black undershirt covered by a long, loose shirt, a pair of low heels suede shoes and an asymmetric, edgy coat (Diva Charms).
For a, not necessarily darker, but maybe more compact look, I would have replaced the light blue jeans with a dark blue, regular waisted super skinny Levi's pair and kept all the other accessories.
Hope you find all the above inspiring and hope my article made you love denim even more!
Please be advised that my fellow bloggers, participants at Creative blogging competition – SuperBlog 2016 are also sharing their love for this fabric in their articles, so do not hesitate to inspire from their writings as well!
