Just as the landscapes, places and people I have seen and met on the African continent this spring.
Where do I start?
With the first glimpse of a Moroccan street image?
Or maybe with the food? Yes, this is how I felt like I started my trip anyway, with delicious tajine and papaya juice :).
Or maybe with the first evening visit to the market in the center of Marrakesh?
It was quite a full first day, and even if we have been in the air for hours and hours, there was no room for tiredness.
The next morning, my friends and I woke up really early and went to see Ouzoud waterfall.
On our way there, I met this cute little guy and stopped by a very special place where they make argan oil, something that many women out there use for so many beauty rituals.
Now that was an adventure and I am more than happy that I wore sport shoes and jeans. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend (though it is a warm weather) to wear a pair of boots whilst escalating through the wilderness, even if it is a touristic area.
I will get back with part two of this post, and I will walk you through the Atlas mountains and Quarzazate - one of Game of Thrones (and so many other movies) sets.
Meanwhile, even if the places are breathtaking, I would like to share with you few perks of owning and packing a large number of scarfs for this trip. After all, I focus on pieces of clothing here :).
On one hand, they have served their purpose and kept my neck and chest warm, yet added the touch of "chicness" to my vacation simple and comfortable outfit.
On the other hand, I used them to keep clean and save myself a possible allergy. Even if we have booked a room at a four star hotel, well, I would say that my silk and cotton scarfs came in handy, as I also used them instead of bed sheets - used them under the hotel blanket, as a sheet and as a pillow case :) :D.
And I came back home with a clean face and a sane mind :P.
So, if you do not travel with your own sheets, hope you find my above experience useful for your next trip to such an exotic place.
